Cascade Christmas Pageant
One of the best things at Cascade is that our kids tell us the Christmas story on Christmas Eve. We have been learning the songs at Cascade Kids downstairs throughout this last month and practice will continue this week after church.
We invite each and every one of you to join us Wednesday December 24th at 5:30pm to watch the pageant, sing Silent Night and light some candles together!
Cascade Students Halloween Party
On Sunday October 25th during regular youth group hours (6:00-7:30pm) we're going to be gathering at the Cotton's home in West Linn to celebrate halloween! Wear a costume and come prepared for fun games!

Cascade Chili Cook-Off
On Sunday October 18th following service we'll be having a gathering in the building next door with a delicious competition. Bring your best crock pot of chili as we blind taste test and vote on the various offerings from the community. Start experimenting now and you may just bring the prestigious Cascade Chili Cook Off trophy home for the full year of your reign as chili cooker extraordinaire!
Also, we'll have a vegetarian and meat category, so bring the dish that's best for you and your family!

Parent Night Out
Parents Night Out!
Enjoy time out with just adults by dropping your kid/s off with our Cascade Adults + Students! For the three hours, we will play games, do some crafts, eat pizza and watch a movie. Let us know if you have any questions about the specifics for the time together.
All proceeds benefit the Cascade Students Summer Camp Fund.

Cascade Student Launch Potluck
Join us on September 13th, as we're kicking off our Fall programming with a potluck! If you're new to Cascade students, bring your family to meet other families, hear about our programming for the year and enjoy a delicious meal!

Being With
On Sunday September 13th we're going to be starting our 3rd iteration of Being With! It's a group of folks from Cascade who gather from 9:00-10:15am to engage some wonderings about faith and life.
Here's the experience of who recently went through a Being With group.
"As a new member of Cascade Church, Being With offered a safe space to build community while exploring various concepts of Christianity and how we strive to show up in relationship with God and others. The small group format was perfect for honest and open discourse about where we were on our personal and collective spiritual paths. I found myself very much looking forward to our Sunday mornings of connections, growth, belonging and being with. It was a definite highlight of each week."
Launch Sunday
On Sunday August 30th we're going to be throwing a party at Cascade Church and we hope you'll join us! The service will be a celebration of where we've been this past 11 years and a look ahead to where we hope to go. Afterwards we'll have a pizza lunch offered and an ice cream truck will show up with all your favorite cold treats for free!

Cascade Church, Wayside Friends, Pearl Church, North Valley Friends Church and St. Thomas Covenant are teaming up this summer to offer a Jesus-centered camping experience for 6th - 12th grade students. One of our primary purposes will be to create and foster a safe, trusting, and caring (aka: Christlike) community that brings to life the fruit of Jesus’ Spirit.
Every camper, counselor, teacher, and director at Fireside and The Woods will be affirmed as a child of God regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

Parenting After Deconstruction Pt 3
Deconstructing your faith beliefs can be isolating and lonely. Often, this is an individualized process that occurs differently from your partner, family, or friends. Trying to figure out how to parent during this shift can feel nearly impossible. With your newfound theology, how can you talk to your kids about the story of Adam and Eve while navigating the sexist undertones of Genesis 2? How do you take current events and put them into age-appropriate context for your child? How can you reconcile with your own trauma or spiritual abuse while finding positive ways to incorporate spiritual practices with your child?
In this class we will:
-Examine Kathy Escobar's model of deconstruction and locate where you are in your own journey
-Talk about theories around brain development and age-appropriate conversations for kids
-Develop a discussion-based cohort to support you in this transition and direct you to other resources that are available as a reminder you're not alone on this journey
The Winter Cohort launches Tuesday January 13th @ 7pm on Zoom. If you can’t join for the live conversations, no problem! All classes will be recorded outside of small group conversation and sent to you.
